Hi Everyone! I do miss staying in touch with many of you. It's sad to see that we've lost so many of our friends. Life just sort of slips away so fast. I was lucky enough to attend the last reunion. I hardly recognized some of you. We laughed and drank and shared old memories. So many changes.....so little time. Miss you. Would love to hear from you. Linda

I've fixed the questionnaire, and if there were enough people hitting the site often enough I could get forum software fired up that handles blogs and the rest, for people to communicate and update as needed. As it sits I'm not sure how often the site gets visited. I need to stick a counter on here somewhere. Thanks, Gary

Just got Cherie's message about another classmate passing away. It's sad that so many of us are facing that now with parents and sometimes our children. It's just a fact of life I guess. I'm dealing with elderly parents which I'm sure many of us are ... and this is causing me to move from my lovely home in Pahrump back to Vegas very soon. I'll be moving in with my folks (both in their 80s) to take care of them. They are both in fair health but suffering from Alzheimer's. My husband and I will be sharing their small NLV home until they pass away. But I have to say, life has been good. I don't have any regrets. My last child, a son, age 17, just signed papers to enter the Marines. He was my late life baby and sweetness of my world. I'm sure going to miss him. I'm remarried as of five years ago to the most wonderful man in the world. I wish I had dumped my ex a long time ago - don't we all who had exs (lol). I've been lucky. I haven't lost any children or grandchildren. I've been happy over the years and haven't needed or wanted much. Like most, I enjoy reading the messages here and wish everyone would share a little more about themselves, their life and loves, and past memories. (grin) We need to record those memories now while we can still access them in our dwindling minds. I'd like to make a suggestion >>>> I tried to access the link for the Questionnaire but it's not working at the moment (maybe the webmaster can take a look at that and repair the link?). I don't know about everyone else, but I don't mind my information in the Questionnaire being made available to others here. I wonder if it's possible for the site to have a section where we could each place profiles we could update and memories. It would be nice to share them and be able to look up specific classmates.

I played shortstop for Coach Reed for three years, hung out with Rolly Zervas, Roger Valdez, Joey Bradshaw, Tom Shelton, Tommy Mckecknie, Eddie Earp and a kid named Danny. I played drums in the marching band and a little soccer. I married Theresa from Basic High in 1973, still married to her and love her more now then ever. Our oldest son is 33, our daughter is 31 and our youngest is 25--all married. We have a 5 year old granddaughter and a 7 year old granddaughter. I'm an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel of Ft Lauderdale. We came out here in 1985 to start the church and it's grown to approx 17,000 people. Check out our website calvaryftl.org. My wife and I gave our lives to Jesus in 1979 and it's the best decision we've ever made. Sorry to say, I didn't have many friends while at Rancho, to busy doing other stuff. If you remember me, please write. Thanks.

Greetings All, I have not attended a single reunion since graduation. I moved to central Massachusetts in 1984, have been married to the love of my life, Everett, since 1981. We met when he was a crap dealer at the MGM (before the big fire.) I have 3 daughters: Sara, now 20 and a sophomore at Wheelock College in Boston and twins; Kelsey and Laura, both with different birth dates; 8/30 and 8/31. The girls are now 16 years old and juniors in high school. Since 1985, I have been employed by the Marlborough Public School system as a coordinator and teacher of gifted and talented students in grades k-7. I am currently pursuing another Master's degree in administration with the intent of becoming a school principal. I serve on many committees for the DOE in Massachusetts and love New England living. I visit my mother, sister and brother from time to time in Vegas.

I was just reading all the messages, and realized that everyone seems to be doing fine. I remember Powder Puff football, I had a good time playing. Jeff if I had known that you lived back east, when we went to Washington DC I would have looked you up. Are you still working for Southwest Airlines??? My son has worked for them for 10 years. Yes, I still live in Las Vegas, and I still love it here. Hopefully I will be able to atten the 40th reunion. Take care everyone. Sue.

Hi, everyone. The reunion was just wonderful! I had a great time talking with everyone! I'd like some feedback, so e-mail me. Thanks to Michael Mumpower and Gary Humphrey (webmaster extraordinaire) for helping me with the reunion! E-mail me your photos so we can put them on the website. I'm working on identifying people in the photos, but (I'm really sorry) I can't put names to all of the faces. So, help me out and tell me who's who. I hope we even have more people at the 40th. It's going to be an even bigger bash! Plan on it! Put messages on here and let everyone know how you've been doing. Cherie (Davis) Reinhardt

Cheri, Thanks for taking the time to call about the reunion. Unfortunately, I have missed all of the festivities while living all over the country. Sheesh!!! :-) It was great to see the pictures and see how people have changed and how some haven't. Brings back some good memories. The website is wonderful. Kudos to all whose effort goes into maintaining it to keep us all connected. Best to all and hope this reunion is as much fun as the previous reunions were. Thanks again, Becky p.s. Who do I shoot for making that horrible class picture available?!!! My sister did my hair and thought I was back in the sixties with her. Learned my lesson. Last time I let her do it, right!

Hello Sue Wilson (Class of 72, swilson129@cox.net) You asked about Coach Cox. About four years ago, my brother said Coach was working at a car part junkyard on Nellis Blvd. between Lake Mead Blvd. and Cheyenne in North Las Vegas. I tried to look him up in the phone book and online, but no success. My dad still lives in NLV and next time I visit with a little time on my hands, I'll drive up and down Nellis and see if I can find the place he was talking about. Coach Cox was a wonderful teacher. He must be about 70-80 years old by now.

HI Everyone! Sorry I didn't make it to the last reunion. My cousin was married that weekend. I'm doing fine, still living in Las Vegas. I have two sons, both living in Las Vegas. I'm really looking forward to the 30 reunion, but I'm still "29". I retired from my job after 21 1/2 years, took a break for 5 months, then went back to work. Take care, see you in September.

Oh gawd, has it been 35 years. That almost makes me older than dirt, and I don't know if I like that! *sigh* I'm looking forward to seeing some old friends at the Sept 2007, 35-Year Reunion. Sheesh, it seems like my dad just went to his 50th Reunion not that long ago, and now we're almost there. I guess one of the things we do when we start getting old is think about genealogy. I began researching mine a year ago. I'm up to 2,000 relatives/ancestors and adding more daily. It's a nice, quiet hobby and has put me in touch with long lost and unknown relatives/cousins/aunts, etc. I have quite a few family photos on my link at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/s/w/e/Valerie-E-Sweet/index.html if anyone is interested. If you had family in the Virginia-NorthCarolina-Tennessee-Illinois areas between 1700-1950, we may well be related *lol*. Seems our family tree links to just about everyone in those areas, and *roflol* doesn't fork all that much. That explains why my brothers were so retarded *big grin*. I ordered but never received the Mini-YearBook from the Rancho 20th Reunion. I'd sure like a copy if anyone can get one to me. I'd like to order copies of any of the other years as well, if there are any left. My life now: I'm currently and for the past 7-years very happily married to a man 20 years my junior, have a female friend who has lived with us for three years who is my constant companion and comrade in mischief, and only one late-life child still living at home who is soon to graduate *yay* ... can't wait to get that last one out and on his own (no empty nest syndrome for me). We rent out our extra rooms to keep the house full of laughter and life. Gawd, I know I'm ancient at the age of 50, but I still feel like a 25-year-old and I'm very much enjoying every tidbit life has to bring. We added a billiard table to our garage and we've taken up bowling for more exercise (I know, don't laugh - at least it's not bingo!). I loved looking at the last reunion pictures. I swear, I would never have recognized anyone without names attached to each one - lots of shiny domes and gray hair - and hey, it's not funny, because I realized I'm one of you *lol*. I like to think I'm aging gracefully, but now I'm thinking we all believe that and everyone who sees us after ten years or so is just as shocked by our change as we are by theirs. I think I liked living in ignorant bliss better! *smile* So -- has is everyone else doing? Valerie Elaine (Sweet) Touchstone-Tawdi email me anytime at rescueme@teknett.com

I am a television producer who is producing Rancho High -The First Fifty Years. The old Rancho will be torn down this summer and a new Rancho will open to students this fall semester. All Rancho alumni have their own fond memories of their times being a Ram. With the old school gone, some of the memories will go with it. I need your help to capture all of those wonderful Rancho Ram memories. Please send me scans of old photos, dance programs, digital photos out of your yearbook, clippings from the newspapers, articles off the internet or you own short personal stories. I also need the names of Rams that died in the Vietnam conflict. I know that 25 men died from Rancho. If you have old videos, send them with a return address and I will send it back. Also if you know of any famous Rams send me their names. If you have a favorite teacher send me a photo with a short comment. If you can remember when the Rams won state championships let me know. I have already asked Rancho High for the above information and they dont even have photos of the past ten principals let alone a list of the state championship teams. So now is the time to help write the history of the past fifty years. My email address is: creelsnider@mac.com and my mailing address is Creel Snider 316 Sunset Blvd #2 Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The finished DVD will be for sale on the Rancho Alumni Web site with proceeds going to Rancho students and programs. Here is the web address: http://www.ranchoalumni.org/ PS make sure your digital photos are JPEG

I was the geeky, skinny gal with glasses who played two seasons of "powderpuff football," took Coach Buford Cox's classes, was in the Science Academy Club, went on all the field trips, helped with float each year ... blah, blah, blah. Hi Gang. I've been having a few memories with the war in progress. Remember saying good-bye to all our friends our senior year who were going off to Vietnam? Well, my son is a Marine (just 20 years old) and I'm having a few flashbacks as I watch the war on tv. I was also thinking about some of my favorite teachers: remember Art teacher Mrs. DeCote, and Ethnic Studies teacher/football's Coach Buford Cox? Does anyone remember when actor Chuck Norris came to Rancho and did the exhibition (1969-70 I think)? LOL ... just a few memories ... wondered if anyone else was walking down memory lane lately? Thanks for the memories, Val Sweet

Happy Thanksgiving to all and thanks for bringing back so many great memories. Michelle and I had a wonderful time. It was truly outstanding seeing many of you again after so many years. I'm ready for our next encounter to swap tall tales and reminisce with old friends. My present job allows me to get around the country with overnight layovers in many cities that many of you may reside. If Southwest Airlines happens to service a city near your residence and you would like to go out for lunch or dinner sometime, please drop me an email at "jef141@earthlink.net", or give me a call at 301-645-4788 and I'll do my best to get a trip to your neck of the woods. Also, for any of you out visiting the Washington DC area, please give us a call if you need a tour guide or help. Hope to hear from some of you soon. Oh, by the way, I was in Reno last week playing Blackjack, when the dealer happened to ask where I was from. After telling him, I found out that he was also from Vegas and was a class of '70 Rancho graduate. His name is Greg Nessbit (not too sure of the spelling) He and I were on the tennis team together -- small world... The sucker still ended up taking my money. Well take care and have a wonderful holiday season. Jeff Frey

Hi everyone, the reunion was great, Berlinda and I had a great time. I still can't believe it's been thirty years. Does anyone have any new information about the cruise set for next year? If so, please pass it along. Thanks, Tony.

Hi, everyone, The reunion was great fun!! It was great seeing everyone!! We've got the reunion pictures posted and I will get to identifying them soon. I hate excuses, but I've been very unwell. Having many tests & going to lots of doctors. Diagnoses: severe vertigo, migraines, TMJ & ear pain, severe fibromyalgia, tremors, infections, & sprained foot. But I'm getting better. Talk to you soon. Cherie (Davis) Reinhardt
